Join Kristi Iverson, Nick Hamilton, Dennis Lloyd and Peter Jones for 3 short presentations and a Q&A.

  • Bighorn Sheep Grasslands of the Elk Valley in the Kootenays. Kristi is a consulting ecologist specializing in the dry interior ecosystems of British Columbia, and she will share her recent research on these high elevation grasslands;
  • Grassland Ecosystems of the Cariboo-Chilcotin. Nick is a rangeland ecologist with the Government of BC and he will provide an overview of the species composition and soils of the grasslands of the Cariboo; and
  • Cariboo-Chilcotin Ecological Assessment Project. Dennis helped develop the Biogeoclimatic Ecosystem Classification (BEC) system for BC, and he and Peter will outline the results of the CCEA project released in 2019.

The online forum will be moderated by Eleanor Bassett, a rangeland ecologist based in 100 Mile House.

Registration is required for this free event and attendance is limited to less than 100 people.
