This free ABCFP webinar will present facts about the use of glyphosate in BC forests, including an overview of some of the risks and a discussion about why decision-making around herbicide use is different today than it was even a decade ago.


Managing Without Glyphosate: The Factors Worth Considering aims to provide an engaging platform to talk about the technical challenges and environmental concerns associated with vegetation management in today’s world. 

Learning outcomes:

  • appreciate some of the risks of glyphosate use in forests;
  • understand the alternatives to glyphosate use, what can be done now;
  • identify the unknowns associated with glyphosate use in forests;
  • identify how we can discover answers to what we don’t know.

Presenter: Dr. Lisa Wood, RPF, an applied plant biologist and dendroclimatologist exploring influences of human-induced stress on forested plant communities. Wood will follow the short presentation with an extensive period of questions and answers.
