BYLAW 14 – INDICTABLE OFFENCES

Registrants convicted of indictable offences
14-1 Under section 66(2)(a)(i) of the Act , the council may
(a) summarily suspend or cancel the registration of a registrant who has been convicted of an indictable offence, or
(b) with the agreement of the registrant, impose conditions or limitations on the continued registration of a registrant described in paragraph (a) in lieu of suspending or cancelling the registrant’s registration.
Applicants convicted of indictable offences
14-2 Under section 66(2)(a)(ii) of the Act, the council may summarily reject the application of an applicant for enrolment, admission or reinstatement who has been convicted of an indictable offence.
14-3 The council may establish additional procedures, consistent with the Act and bylaws, for summary proceedings under section 14-1 or 14-2.
